Hannah Zimmerman is a Junior at Stanford University studying Public Policy, Anthropology and Data Science. Hannah holds the office of the county committee and is the youngest person to have been elected to office in the state of New York. She is also the youngest person ever to have been an official (Credentials Committee) at a National Convention of the U.S. Democratic Party since it was formed in 1828. Hannah served as editor-in-chief on Teen Vogue’s Guide to the Midterm Elections, and will serve as EOC for their 2020 guide as well. She is one of hercampus.com’s most inspiring college women in America.
She has presented her policy research before the Rural Sociological Society (2019), Stanford’s Board of Alumni (2019) and National Conference of State Legislatures (2018). At Stanford, Hannah has designed and lectured four courses on political organizing, co-teaching with notable political figures Bruce Cain and Ben Ginsburg. Hannah spent summer 2019 conducting policy research in the arctic as a Chappell-Lougee research fellow with the Norwegian Labor Organization and American Scandinavian Foundation.
She is an experienced political organizer having founded and led a national grassroots high school campaign for Bernie Sanders campaign. Post-Bernie, Hannah has designed and led youth organizing programs for Our Revolution and the National Nurses Union. She is currently a national surrogate for Bernie Sanders 2020 campaign.
